Worship...many definitions, many preferences, many expectations. At Dorrisville, worship is simply us telling God about Himself. Whether we are singing, praying, speaking, meditating, or even laughing, we strive to bring glory and pleasure to our Audience of One as we encourage, love, and comfort one another in fellowship.
There is no other activity that offers a taste of what heaven will be like more than singing the praises of our Lord Jesus! Singing together is great fellowship and fun, but it is also a sacred privilege to be able to sing God's praises and lead hundreds of people in the act of worship.
In addition to the blessings that come from participating in rehearsals and leading worship, there is also the opportunity to be a part of a great family that genuinely loves and cares for each member. The friendships which begin in the rehearsal room and are nurtured throughout our many activities and are some of the strongest you will make in your lifetime.

Worship Choir
The Worship Choir of Dorrisville Baptist Church is the cornerstone of the Music Ministry. The Worship Choir is open to adults who feel a call to serve God through the musical gifts He has given them.
Our Worship Choir leads in worship each Sunday morning and sings a wide variety of music: exciting anthems and great hymns that reflect our Baptist heritage as well as more contemporary music. The Worship Choir performs several large works at Christmas and Easter and often one other large work during the year. Many of our ensemble groups and soloists come from within the ranks of the Worship Choir.
To become a member of the choir, you simply begin coming to rehearsals on Wednesday evenings at 7:00. There is no audition required. After you have attended a couple of rehearsals, and when you feel comfortable, you begin singing with us on Sundays. Someone will show you where the music is kept and which folder you will use. You'll quickly learn the basics of choir membership with the help of friendly members sitting next to you.

Childrens Choirs are open to any child in grades one through six. The Preschool choir is from 3 year olds through kindergarten. The choirs meet during the school year. For many years the children's choir programs at Dorrisville Baptist Church have met on Sundays at 6:00 PM. This well-known and well-attended program teaches children Christian music in a Christian environment. Throughout the year, our children’s choirs present special programs.
