NO GREATER LOVE-NEW ORLEANS

No Greater Love Ministries: "Putting the Gospel into the hands of faithful men."

"No Greater Love Ministries is a non-denominational, mission organization, focused on the task of spreading the Gospel through discipleship, using Jesus Christ as our model.  We use "The Great Commission" (Matthew 28:18-20) as our strategy and the actions of Jesus as our example to witness through global evangelism.  Our ministry stands behind the principle, "No one has it ALL together; but TOGETHER we have it ALL!

Bro. Brent Holloway will be taking a group of men to New Orleans during Mardi Gras to share the gospel.

 Operation Christmas Child

OCC is a year round opportunity here at DBC to give children around the world some basic school supplies, hygiene items and small toys packaged in a shoebox. A monthly list of items needed is distributed to  church members so they can bring suggested items to prepare for the "packing party" that takes place in mid November. After the boxes are packed they are delivered to a distribution center in Atlanta GA where the boxes are processed to send to children around the world. Each year in early December a team of volunteers heads to Atlanta to the distribution center to help process shoe boxes coming in from churches and individuals around the country.

Be sure to check back for openings for this year's Operation Christmas Child trip on December 8-10.
Tuesday: depart early for Atlanta, lunch in Chattanooga
Wednesday: work at the Operation Christmas Child Processing Plant in Atlanta from 9-5 pm
Dinner & shopping on your own at the Mall of Georgia
Thursday: travel home, stop for lunch, home by dinner

Local Christians around the world  are taught to host a successful shoebox outreach event where they share the Gospel and invite children to participate in follow-up discipleship. Children are taught from a booklet full of colorful pictures and a suggested Scripture to be used as they present the Gospel message in a child-friendly way. After boys and girls hear the Good News, they receive a surprise that may be their first gift ever. They hold in their hands a tangible expression of God’s love...a shoe box filled with things they may not have ever had in their lives.
